Did you know that in the past 5 years, there was a 20% increase in the search query, affiliate marketing, according to a Google Trends data?
A lot of people seem to believe that affiliate marketing is dead, but that is actually not the case. If anything, it has grown exponentially due to the fact that people are mostly going online these days.
That being said, there is a lot of money that can be had using this medium and it is certainly something that you’d want to consider if you want to supplement your financials with passive income.
Affiliate marketing is a performance-based marketing wherein an affiliate will collaborate with a brand by creating content and then embedding the special links that are given to them. These links will lead to product pages or services that their partner companies offer and whenever someone buys from that link, the affiliate will be paid a percentage commission.
Most of the articles found online to tackle the aspect of the affiliate and they rarely talk about the company. So today, I am going to be talking about some strategies that the companies can use to generate more sales.
Find the Right Affiliates
A lot of people have their own platforms for marketing; may it be a Youtube channel, an Instagram page, or their own blog or website.
As a company that wants to gain so much more traction, it is best that you find the right affiliates. Now, what qualifies as a ‘good’ affiliate, you ask? Well, a number of things.
First, they must already have a loyal and massive following. Think about 10,000 followers at the very least.
Next, you’d want to collaborate with someone that is interested in selling products but doing so in such a way that doesn’t come off as traditional advertising.
Lastly, their platforms should also have good page ranking and SEO for maximum internet traffic.
Offer Deals and Promotions
Do you know the reason why a lot of people shop for electronics on Black Friday? That is because of the insane discounts and deals that they can get.
Learning from that, it is best that you also provide your customers with deals and promotions just so that you can give that extra nudge to help them make a purchase decision.
Consider Getting Influencers
An influencer used to be a buzzword but has since gained massive traction in the marketing space. Influencer marketing, therefore, is something that you also want to consider.
These are people who are well-established in their respective niches and the good thing is that they are easy to find. Furthermore, there are some that would readily collaborate with you if you just contact them head-on.
Use Affiliate Promotions
Aside from looking into social media influencers, find affiliates from different sources. You’d want at least one blogger, one Youtuber, a social media influencer, and one that provides webinars. Of course, your strategy may vary depending on your needs.
Always Optimize Your Product Pages
Lastly, you want to make sure that your product pages are always optimized. This means that it has to be mobile-friendly and should load quickly even when your users are making use of their mobile phones.
Furthermore, you also want to include pictures and videos on your product pages so that people can have a pretty good idea of what your product really is from multiple viewpoints.
